At the beginning of this online course we had to set 3 main goals for us to achieve by the end of the semester. I set myself 3 goals, the first one was to pass this class with at least a C, my second goal was to turn in my assignments on time and the third goal was to improve my writing and reading skills. So far I think I have been able to keep up with my first goal, it looks like I currently have a B in this class, but I am still pushing for an A. When it came to turning in my assignments on time I, sometimes, waited until the weekend to finish up what I had started at the beginning of the week. I think I did not manage my time as well as I had originally planned, and I am a bit disappointed by that, I let myself get caught up with other things and didn’t prioritize my school work as much as I should have. As far as my writing and reading skills being improved, I think they did improve because we had a lot of reading and writing to do, especially with our weekly document interpretations. I am still trying to improve them though because I didn’t seem to be able to get an A on any of them. I personally think that I didn’t get a better grade in some of them due to my lack of time management skills.

                What I learned in this course gave me much more knowledge about our past and I can apply it to my daily life by appreciating the society we are living in right now… I am not saying we live in a perfect world, because we are NOT, but compared to before we have a lot more rights and somewhat less discrimination. I know there is still some racism out there, but now there is laws that protect each individual no matter what their color is. The skills that I have improved in this course would be my writing and critical thinking skills. Every time we had to do a document interpretation I would have to work on my writing skills and it also made me think of how certain articles related to the course materials we were going over during this semester. I think in the future I will definitely apply myself more and prioritize my school work. I have to stick to a schedule and spend more time studying and I cannot let my work or family distract me too much or else I won’t be able to do what I am required to do and I also definitely need to stop leaving things until the last minute because I think that was my biggest problem this semester, I feel that If I would have spent more time in each assignment I would have gotten a better grade.
