Unit 4 WK 5 Writing on Demand (Collaborative)

  • Due No Due Date
  • Points None

For this assignment, you will be working in your cohort to identify common pitfalls experienced by writers in an "on demand" writing situation.

Tip Sheet for Writing on Demand
Instructions:
Below you will see a simple chart consisting of three columns:  Pitfall, Strategy, and Contributor Name..
What pitfalls (problems) do students face in a “ writing on demand” situation?  In the traditional face-to-face class, students often write “in-class” essays, and in an online course, students may be given a considerably shorter timeframe during which to produce and submit a particular essay.

  1. Each cohort member is responsible for coming up with 1-2 pitfalls experienced by students-writers.  Type them into the chart below.
  2. Together, with your cohort, help writers who experience such pitfalls a way to climb out of that “pit.”  Offer a tip to help them with each potential problem you list in the chart.
  3. Once you have completed your tip sheet, copy and paste your work into the Discussion forum entitled Unit 4 Week 5 Tip Sheet Collaboration.  Follow the discussion instructions written there.
  4. Also elect one person per cohort to upload the tip sheet to Assignments.
