That's the way a first course in English should be taught. You didn't just throw us into the writing process, you gave us cause. The course was well organized. Each lesson was a stepping stone to the next and ultimately to the goal of developing an authentic voice. One unexpected but interesting feature of your presentation of pedagogy with respect to English. I found the discussion on the topic by Paulo Freire and Sir Ken Robinson very interesting. It's good to see the process of education is evolving to include multiculturalism. To let you know, I dreaded taking this course, however your course turned out to be one of my most enjoyable experiences in my education life. Learning online posed a lot of issue, the main one being I am heading in the right direction? Is this what the teacher wants? These concerns however have a plus side, they open up the field to exploration. You never know what you will be getting, and there are a lot of ideas out there. It's like "Baking a Cake", Natalie Goldberg from Writing Down the  Bones.
