I feel that this semester and last semester was really when I started taking it seriously. My first semester at PCC was difficult, since I had a requirement to meet, I had a lot more on my hands. I took a Japanese language class which really messed me up for my first year. I didn't try to study, when I did it was always last minute. When there was homework, I always half-ass it. Thinking back on it now I was really stupid for making those decisions. Instead of seeking help from tutoring or the professor I'd just sit quietly acting as if I didn't need the help, which in my opinion is the worst thing I could've done. Finally in my second semester, I took a light load of classes, 12 units, but I messed up by taking a class I didn't need. I corrected my mistake this semester by being extra careful and sure that the classes I had scheduled counted towards my IGETC transfer requirements. Since my first year at PCC, I've been more studious, as in I actually set aside a few hours to study for quizzes and exams. Back then I'd just hop on the computer and procrastinate all day. I actually took the time to highlight and make notes in my book just for quizzes in my film history class. I even read the material thoroughly and reread them again until I can summarize it. I feel that only a few things have changed since my first year, but those few things were my greatest weakness.
