The below discussion assignment demonstrated my ability to form a hypothesis and evaluate the solutions within seattle and its Earthquake trend. I was able to read the news article and comprehend the researchers evidence to investigate such controversial topics in Seattle. Fortunately the chapters we were studying fell into the same realm of knowledge and research. I put myself into the place of the researcher and considered the ideas we had been learning and applied them to the topic.

In Seattle the danger in earthquakes is very high. They create landslides after ripping through the earths surface at high measurements. These quakes cause dangerous landslides. In this specific article they discuss how "Loose soils can also collapse from earthquake shaking." However at the end of the article that "The last big earthquake on the Seattle Fault was around A.D. 900, according to geologic studies and Native American oral history" and that there is a 30 mile long fault. Similar to the San Andreas fault us Californians worry about. Being prepared for the worst is probably most important in preventing any fatal after effects.
