Week 11: Conducting Research

Conducting research is an important part of the writing process. You've probably already become familiar with conducting research this semester with your English 1A assignments. You may have a basic understanding of how to conduct research, and A Writer's Reference Tab-R has probably given you excellent information about conducting research. If you haven't read Tab-R yet, you should review it as you get ready to develop your research and ideas for your English 1A research paper.

We'll focus in this unit on some deeper aspects of conducting research that will help build on the skills you've already practiced. You may already know how to  select and narrow your topics, and how to locate some articles and books for your research purposes. In this unit we'll work on several strategies to help refine our research techniques.
