WEEK 7 OVERVIEW

This week we're going to work on revising the thesis statement. The thesis statement is an important component of your writing process; but usually the thesis statement starts out as a more generalized idea, and as you continue to develop paragraphs and revise content in an essay, the thesis statement gets more and more specific.

It's a challenge to develop a good thesis statement, but if you have a good thesis statement, you're sure to draw in your readers.

This week you'll work with your cohort to revise thesis statements after an examination of what makes a good thesis statement and an analysis of several thesis statement revision strategies.
