Welcome back to English 900, Writing Center Lab!  Unit 4 marks the beginning of The Writing Process.  This unit's lesson includes opportunities for you to consider your own writing process, learn about several important stages in the writing process from invention to thesis statement development, and understand how writing on demand is really no different than the writing process for a take-home essay though of course, you must hit all stages of the writing process in the allotted time.

Get ready to work with members of your cohort!

Although you will do some assignments and tasks on your own, you will also collaborate on a document together. Our goal is to help acquaint you with the writing process and its various stages: assessing the writing situation, exploring ideas, sketching a plan, drafting, and revision.  Our goal is also to show you that writing on demand requires that writers go through these very same stages of the writing process but of course, in the allotted time.
