Hopefully you moved through Unit 1 and Unit 2 with ease and are beginning to get comfortable with the Canvas Learning Management System (LMS).

Your English 1A facilitator has probably given you a taste of Annotating--marking up a text so that you can react, reflect, and question.

Annotating is a time-consuming task, but it is a vital one for academic reading and critical thinking skills, so in this unit we're going to more fully develop your critical reading skills by giving you some tips on how to deepen your critical thinking about a text after you've annotated the text.
