Unit 3 Overview

Welcome back to English 900, Writing Center Lab!  Week 2 marks the beginning of Unit 3: The Writing Process.  This week’s lesson includes opportunities for you to consider your own writing process, learn about several important stages in the writing process from invention to thesis statement development, and understand how writing on demand is really no different than the writing process for a take-home essay though of course, you must hit all stages of the writing process in the allotted time.

Get ready to work with members of your cohort whom you should have met last week! Although you will do some assignments and tasks on your own, you will also collaborate on a document together.

• Learn to use the thesis as a template for the entire essay
