CONFERENCE FEATURE

The conference feature is quite easy to use. We think that scheduling 1 or 2 live conferences for about 10 or 20 minutes a piece in the first week of class will do WONDERS for your classroom collaboration, and also will help students get acclimated to features of the course.

• Students can text-only if they don't have a web camera and/or microphone, but being "live" and in real time with you will help a lot.
• You can "share your screen" with them and show them log-in features and aspects of the course
• You can also use a white board to draw or type text
• You can upload a powerpoint as part of the live conference and walk them through it

It's a little extra time in that first week, but it's worth it. You might even schedule 10 minute live sessions with individual groups at different times in the second week as a check-in.
