On Rubrics
On Rubrics:
- We've elected not to incorporate individual rubrics into the individual assignments, because we understand you may have more or less criteria that you're looking for.
- Instead, we've included a Discussion Board rubric in the NUTS AND BOLTS module for students. You can revise there, and then paste into the individual assignment rubric for discussion board postings.
- There are numerous sample rubrics for online courses and assignments that you can borrow, alter, and then paste into the Speed Graded rubric mechanism as you see fit (through a basic Google Search).
- You may also choose to wholistically grade--that is, offer commentary and a grade rather than attach point values in boxes to the rubrics. This is entirely up to you.
- Many of your assignments could be "completed/Not Completed" grading criteria since this is a lab course.
- Our goal was to make the process easy and painless while still offering you assistance and guidance in the process.
- If you develop a great rubric, will you share? keogden@pasadena.edu and mxkuroki@pasadena.edu
