It is no secret that the Coronavirus pandemic has drastically affected the entire globe differently, and the way that we go about our daily lives. However, it has without a doubt affected the travel industry and the way we travel, probably forever. From hand sanitizer at every possible corner to all personnel using face masks and protective gear, to PCR and swab tests before and after any type of travel, the Coronavirus has turned the world of travel upside - down. To give you an idea, 100% of the countries all around the world had implemented some type of strict travel restrictions at the height of the pandemic.

Luckily, the majority of the world is well on its way to reverting back to some type of ‘normal’. Travelers, many of whom have been cooped up for the past year, are starting to once again visualize the idea of exploring new places around the world. However, the return of commercial travel presents its own challenges. Travel agencies and destinations alike have adapted new and extensive protocols so as to conform to the new normal, and ensure the safety of all travelers and inhabitants of said destinations. Extensive cleaning and sanitization, limitation of physical contact, thermometers and heavy duty medical equipment are sure to be prevalent in our travels for the foreseeable future. Although these measures may seem like an inconvenience at times, the goal is to keep everyone safe, and stop the virus from spreading with the hopes of, in a not so distant future, opening the world back up to travelers, adventurers, and tourists alike. We can be assured that some of these measures are here to stay for the long run, but the important thing to keep in mind is that we can once again fulfill our desires to explore new places, try new food, and experience new cultures.

So, what are some of these so-called Sun destinations, and what are the travel restrictions, if any, as well as requirements. In this article we are going to talk about three of the most visited of these destinations, and inform you with everything you need to know.

Travel Abroad to Argentina

The first destination that we are going to speak about is Argentina. This incredibly beautiful country has everything you could imagine from beautiful beaches and amazing waterfalls to massive glaciers and alluring mountainous landscapes with crystal clear lakes, not to mention the delicious wine country of Mendoza. It is easy to see why Argentina is at the top of so many travelers bucket lists, but what are the current restrictions that tourism faces in the land of Tango?

According to Vamos Spanish Academy "Argentina is just getting its vaccination campaign off the ground which means that many strict COVID protocols are still being implemented. This means that only citizens or residents are permitted to enter, as well as close relatives of a citizen or resident. Use of facemasks is still required throughout the country when in public. There is also a curfew that must be adhered to between the hours of 12 am and 6 am for those provinces that have been deemed ‘high risk’" On the bright side, tourism is permitted within the country, meaning that you can travel between jurisdictions and different provinces as long as you have a negative PCR test, and meet any other requirements that are dictated by the varying regions. Although Argentina is still not open to international tourism, the government predicts that borders will once again be open for tourism by the start of the new year, which gives you just enough time to plan the perfect trip to this wonderful country!

Learn Spanish in Mexico

Want to travel to the beautiful warm beaches of Mexico? You can definitely do that! At this point in time there are no restrictions on travelers wanting to enter the home of tequila, tacos, tortillas, burritos and mariachi bands. Mexico has been hit hard by the pandemic, but tourists are still welcome to visit if they arrive via air travel. The Mexican government does not require you to have a negative COVID-19 test on arrival. It is obviously advised to be vaccinated for your own safety, but not essential for entry into Mexico. Since Mexico has such good weather and beautiful scenery, it is for sure one of the top holiday destinations, and being open to foreigners at this time is a definite bonus.

So why not book a ticket, pack your favorite beach wear, and get yourself on a sunny beach where you can sit and drink a margherita and listen to locals play traditional music, while staring over the blue waters. During this ongoing pandemic which has affected all of us, why not grab this opportunity to go see the wonderful things that Mexico has to offer? There is no shortage of fun or exciting things to do in this central American paradise. Large cities like Guadalajara and the gigantic capital Mexico City have plenty of museums, parks, landmarks and historical sights for you to discover. You can explore the ancient and mysterious Mayan temples, enjoy the breathtaking beaches of Cancun, Acapulco or Puerto Vallarta, and learn about the rich heritage of this unique and diverse country.

What about Spain, or España, as the locals call it? As Spain is recovering from the pandemic, and life seems to be returning to normal, you are allowed to travel there – if you have been fully vaccinated with a World Health Organization (WHO) approved vaccine. Of course the usual visa requirements are still in place, so check with the embassy or your travel advisor.

Explore the stunning Mediterranean islands and mainland coastline and you would never want to leave. Sunny weather makes these beaches and islands an amazing vacation destination, which rarely disappoints. Ibiza is well known as a party island, while Mallorca is more historical, but still breathtaking! And a visit to the eastern parts of Spain is not complete without exploring the gorgeous coastal city of Barcelona - this is a true tourist hotspot!

Explore other amazing cities like Seville, Granada, Malaga, Valencia and Marbella. See the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao. And of course, visit the majestic capital city of Madrid, right in the center of the country. Madrid is a city of beautiful green parks, an abundance of museums, eye-catching architecture, delicious food markets and a bustling nightlife.

Beautiful people, a sexy language, wonderful food, awesome landscapes, a rich laid-back culture and perfect weather makes Spain a definite sun destination for any curious traveler.
