1.       Statement one mean that topics statements should be clear and concise and should logically follow from and support your thesis.

2.       Statement 2 means that you should clearly understand college level writing and be able to annotate, summarize, add content, analyze and critique what you have read

3.       Statement 3 means that you should be able to identify details, graphs, charts, pictures or quotes that support a topic or thesis. You should be able to put together evidence from different sources to support your argument and make sur the evidence is logical

4.       Verify that their source is valid and follows the MLA guide

5.       You should use freewriting, concepts of a literary narrative, outlining to aid in the process. Ask questions about what you wrote. Determine if openings and closings match thesis.
