🙂 Meet your Instructor

My name is Dr. Kimberly Shediak and I started my journey in business 19 years ago. Since then I’ve gone on to launch and lead businesses in a variety of industries, work in leadership roles in both the public and private sectors, consult for companies, and educate current and future business leaders like you. I have a great love of community college and found myself getting into teaching after years working in the business industry. Community college opens so many doors for people and it's beyond rewarding to assist students just like you.

I'm originally from Pittsburgh, PA, but moved around a lot. I earned my Bachelors degree from the University of Tampa in Florida, my MBA from Thunderbird in Arizona, and my Doctorate from Pepperdine University here in beautiful SoCal. During high school and throughout all my degrees I also always attended community colleges to pick up additional courses or learn new skills. 

My professional interests right now lie in teaching college students and consulting with small business owners and entrepreneurs. I’ve been teaching college courses for the past eight years and started at Pasadena City College in 2016. Here at PCC, I oversee our Certificates in Entrepreneurship. I’m excited to continue to innovate the program and help students like you to earn your certificate, transfer, graduate and continue on to your next goal.

We have many exciting new programs, including a short 9-unit Occupational Skills Certificate in Entrepreneurship. Please contact me anytime for help with planning for your Certificate or the transfer process.

Outside of "the office" I enjoy spending time with my rescue dogs, Winston & Cookie, and traveling with my husband. I love a good adventure to explore new places and meet new people! 

My goal is to be a resource for you not just during this course, but throughout your career. I look forward to learning about all of you in this course!
