B2S Online Workshop

Welcome to PCC's Back 2 Success Online Workshop!


Welcome to the Back to Success (B2S) online Canvas course at Pasadena City College (PCC)! This workshop is specifically designed for students on Stage 1 warning (formerly known as Probation). We are happy that you have joined us and would like to take a moment to celebrate you for taking a crucial step toward achieving your academic goals! 

This workshop aims to give you the knowledge and tools to return to good academic standing as soon as possible. Along with that, you will also have direct access to academic counseling support. We believe in you and your abilities and are confident you can achieve great things! Our counselors and success coaches are here to help you take further steps to meet your academic goals. Let's work together to help you achieve success!

The B2S Online Workshop has four modules. The primary objective of this workshop is to provide participants with the essential tools and knowledge for a successful academic experience. The following are the names of each module, along with a brief description:

      1. You Are Not Alone
      2. Your Culture's Capital | Success Strategies & Programs/Resources
      3. PCC Academic Warning Policies
      4. B2S Final Reflection Links to an external site.and Next Steps | Success Coach & Counselor Meeting

This workshop is not timed; you can go at your own pace. To help you plan accordingly, you can expect to spend 15-20 minutes total to complete all four modules of this B2S Online Workshop.


As a result of completing this B2S Workshop, you will have:
      • Reviewed how PCC probation calculations work
      • Reflected on the factors that have led to your academic standing
      • Learned about Tara Yosso's Cultural Community Wealth (CCW) and how you continue to build on your capital by utilizing support services/resources
      • Gained confidence in your ability to make choices that lead you to return to good standing
      • Learned how to access/connect with your Success Coach and Counselor to discuss your academic standing further, identify success strategies, and develop an educational plan

Important: Students who do not complete B2S Final ReflectionLinks to an external site. will not have completed the Back to Success process, and the Academic Counselor will not have the necessary information to develop an educational plan to help select the courses needed for the next term(s).
