Well, eight week has passed and as one of my last classes at Pasadena City College, I can honestly say that this is the best online class I've taken at this college. The professor's interactions with the student and her genuine interest in helping the class succeed separated this classes from my other online "classes". throughout the 60 units, I had taken several online classes at PCC before this, and each of them simply frustrates and baffles me on how some of the professors are even allowed to teach an online class. A professor who leaves two graded test at zero point for over 2 month, given no notice or reply to any emails what-so-ever to the students should not be allowed to teach a class that requires constant communication with the students. Most of the online classes had the assignments set up from years ago, many which are on longer available, and the classes felt more like a ghost-town than a actual simulated classroom. This class however, actually made me felt like that classes taken online can still be just the same quality or even better than most real classrooms. I think it probably is because this is the first online class I've taken where the professor actually gives constant feedback to my works and frequently interact with the class by post important notices like "grading will take more time" or "what to study for the oncoming exam". I'm really glad I had taken this online class so I can move on knowing not all online-classes are just "take a quiz and post a comment every week."

As for the topic of the class, I have to be completely honest here; I never really cared for political science, not because I dislikes it but because I find it really hard to be interest in things that don't affect me directly and thus I never involved myself with anything political either such as voting. But I was surprised how this class had worked out, I sincerely didn't hold out high hopes at first and was holding it to be boring. So going in with pre-existing bias and ignorance I expected to be bombarded with "politic stuff" right away, but instead the first two week was a really nice slow introduction for a compacted eight-week classes, consisting of mainly introductions and learning about managing times and studying online. And as we began doing the text materials I notice that this isn't about all that "politic" I kept hearing people bad mouth about, but instead it is more about the U.S government systems and some of its founding bases. "Ok, it'll eventually get worse" I kept telling myself, but even when it came to the midterm, it wasn't boring. Analyzing videos was a thing I always had a knack for and the way midterm was separated into smaller parts was so much better than just a giant project or a huge exam. By this point most of my stubbornness and bias against political science were gone, what I worried about the most at first was how it will bore me, but as it turns out the topics it covers is not what I was expecting. I feel that the materials I learn here will be useful not just for political majors but also helpful in life, and things such as the basis of this country's founding, the struggle different groups go through to reach democracy is just useful knowledge to have and share with those around me.

Looking for and reading news articles was something new to me, I really liked how we are given the choice to choose our own article and not just be assigned one like most other classes. I think this little choice really helped and encouraged the students to participate in these assignments, because we are writing what we find interesting ourselves. I never given reading articles or news a chance before, and now that I've done it, it really isn't that bad. Most event not only relate to the topic we are learning but we can also see how changes and passing of certain law/policy will indirectly effect us as well.

As we come to the ending of this class, although I have not accomplished all the personal goals I have set for myself in the beginning of the course, I was fortunate enough to learning a lot and overcome my bias on the subject of political science. This online class was definitely one of the most enjoyable out there, and I'm really glad that I had the honor to end my PCC years with this class.
