Because anyone can put up a web page on any subject, post to social media, or send off a quick e-mail, how can you distinguish fact from fiction? Determining the reliability of information you encounter in cyberspace can be a challenge but is important whether you are doing scholarly research or just want to understand the news. Can any source be trusted?
