What is Ally, and How Can It Benefit Our Campus?

Ally is a new Canvas-integrated feature that promotes student access and a culture of inclusion across our campus. It provides faculty with guidance and tips for making lasting accessibility improvements to their course content. It also provides students with downloadable alternative formats of the course content so they can engage with their classes in the ways they learn best. 

 

How Does Ally Work?

 

Ally provides feedback in the form of accessibility indicators that appear next to your content. Indicators provide helpful awareness about the accessibility of your course content while providing feedback on ways to make your content more accessible moving forward.
