MESA

MESA (Mathematics, Engineering, Science Achievement) serves to enrich the experience of all students interested STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) by providing a variety of community-building opportunities.

DSPS

Disabled Student Programs & Services serves to enable students with documented disabilities to get access to all the college's programs and activities.

FYE SUCCESS CENTER

The First Year Experience program at PCC is designed to new-to-college students, former dual enrollment students, and students with fewer than 20 college credits transition smoothly to college and succeed academically.

DREAM RESOURCE CENTER

The mission of the Dream Resource Center (DRC) at Pasadena City College is to empower and uplift undocumented students by providing comprehensive and holistic resources that foster academic success, well-being, and a sense of belonging. We are committed to creating an inclusive and supportive environment where every student can thrive, fulfill their potential, and achieve their dreams, regardless of their immigration status.

EOP&S/CARE, & NEXT UP

EOP&S is a state-funded program that provides education and financial support services to students who have experienced economic and educational hardships. CARE and NEXT UP are supplemental programs branched from EOP&S that offer support services to student parents and former or current foster youth students.

MOCAN

Men of Color Action Network (MOCAN) is a student support program designed for men of color. MOCAN provides academic and social support, financial assistance with expenses such as tuition, transportation, textbooks, and technology, a strong sense of community, and mentorship by men of color for men of color. 

 

A2MEND

A2MEND promotes the enhancement of enrollment, cultural enrichment, leadership, networking, professionalism, and graduation of individuals among African American, Latino, and other male students at Pasadena City College.

VETERANS RESOURCE CENTER

The VRS serves veterans, military members and their dependents with processing educational benefits, connecting students to resources on campus, health and wellness services, academic tutoring, emergency housing, and employment and job training.

CORE

Community Overcoming Recidivism through Education (CORE) provides support services to formerly incarcerated and system impacted students at PCC. CORE focuses on students' reentry into their communities empowering them to succeed in higher education and beyond.

BLACKADEMIA & UJIMA

Ujima and Blackademia is housed under the Black Student Success Center and provides support services, resources and referral opportunities for Black students at PCC.

CALWORKS

PCC CalWorks is a state-funded Welfare-to-Work program designed to support individuals on public assistance become self-sufficient. The program will work with student parents to obtain educational and career opportunities.

PUENTE PROJECT

Puente Project provides support services to students that plan to transfer to a four-year university and are able to commit to English and Counseling courses in the Fall and Spring semesters. Puente offers students mentoring opportunities, support with transfer, and college exposure.

HONORS PROGRAM

The Honors program at PCC is designed to engage and challenge students who are preparing to transfer to a four-year institution. The supportive and transfer-oriented environment sets you up for success and prepares you to transfer and excel at a four-year university.

THE ZONE

The Stan Gray Academic Athletic Zone (The Zone) is a comprehensive learning assistance center that supports over 750 PCC Student-Athletes annually. The Zone provides counseling, tutoring, and life development resources that reinforce the academic and personal goals of PCC's student-athletes.

PASS

Program for Academic Support Services (PASS) offers students counseling, tutoring, and financial aid and scholarship assistance, workshops, field trips, transfer support, and priority registration. PASS strives to prepare students with the skills and motivation needed to graduate from PCC and transfer to a four-year university.

PRIDE CENTER

The mission of The Pride Center at Pasadena City College is to create an inclusive space for LGBTQ+ students, staff, and faculty. We are dedicated to empowering students through their journey of academic success, fulfillment, and growth.

ROBERT FREEMAN CAREER CENTER

The Career Center team supports students in the life-long process of career development and decision-making by facilitating self-discovery, career enrichment, and workforce readiness.

SUCCESS CENTERS

PCC Success Centers are here to support you as a whole student, offering a variety of services such as tutoring, coaching, counseling, academic and career workshops, study space, and access to technology.  Success Centers are welcoming student spaces ready to support your success in college and beyond!

LANCER CARE & LANCER PANTRY

The Lancer Care Center is your centralized hub of services and resources to meet your basic needs. Housing, food resources, emergency fundings, peer mentoring and more — we're here to support your personal well-being and encourage your academic success!

PERSONAL COUNSELING

Personal Counseling offers support and resources for students at PCC to creatively handle the stresses of college life. Personal Counseling offers a variety of counseling options.

ACADEMIC COUNSELING

Our counselors can help you with educational planning, transferring to a university, academic and personal challenges, and more.

 

INTERNATIONAL STUDENT CENTER

The International Student Center provides students with a variety of resoures. You can access different types of request forms, browse helpful websites, and find answers to frequently asked questions. 

PCC CONNECT

PCC Connect is a tool to access your success network. Instructors and student services staff (academic counselors and coaches) use it to communicate with you throughout the term with information to support your success.

MATH PATH

  • Complete TWO full semesters of math in just ONE semester
  • Concentrate on success in math
  • Be a part of a community of fellow classmates and get through it together

MUSIC LAB

The Music Lab is open to all PCC Music students. Visit the Music Lab for support and resources to use for your music study. The Music Lab is available on a drop-in basis during our open hours for you to use at your convenience.

SHATFORD LIBRARY

Borrow a book. Conduct research. Use a computer. Find a quiet study space. The Shatford Library is here to help.

PCC BOOKSTORE Links to an external site.

The PCC Bookstore allows students to purchase or rent their textbooks for courses as well as rent technology. You can shop in store or online via their website. Students can also find graduation regalia at the PCC Bookstore.

BLACK STUDENT SUCCESS CENTER

The Black Student Success Center provides support services, resources and referral opportunities for Black students at PCC. It also houses two support programs — Ujima and Blackademia

VIRTUAL SUPPORT CENTER 

Do you need help with registration? Financial aid? A hold? Transcripts? Anything else? Use our online Virtual Support Center or come to campus and visit one of our In-Person Help Centers.

SUCCESS COACHES

Anytime you have questions, concerns or you’re not sure about something, you can reach out to your coach and they will help you directly or connect you to services on campus that can best assist you. Your Success Coach is here to guide you and support you so that you can be as successful as possible!

COUNSELING 10 (1 UNIT)

Counseling 10 is an introduction to college course that provides students with exposure to college resources and educational planning to help you keep on track. 

 

COUNSELING 11 (1 UNIT)

Counseling 11 is an analysis of college success factors and learning styles of student achievements. Students gain college skills development.

 

COUNSELING 12 (3 UNITS)

Counseling 12 allows students to self-explore in social identity, diversity in higher education and personal health and wellness. This course empowers students to make informed choices that impact the development of career and educational objectives. 

COUNSELING 17 (2 UNITS)

Counseling 17 is a career planning course. Undecided about a major or career? This course provides students with the opportunity to explore interests, skills, and values for career options as well as job searching skills.
