Downloading Zoom Recordings

Storage Options

You can download and save your Zoom cloud recordings to:

• One of your Canvas sandboxes
• Your local desktop or computer
• A high capacity flash drive or external hard drive

Download Process

First, you will need to download your recordings. Go to Pasadena EDU Zoom website Links to an external site. and sign in to your Zoom account Links to an external site..

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Click on Recordings
2. Select Cloud Recordings
3. To download, click on the More button and select Download or select the recording itself. It will download all the files associated with that recording - MP4 (video and audio), M4A (audio only), and VTT (transcript file)
4. The files will download to your default download location you have set on your computer

In most cases, this can be found in your Downloads folder.

After Downloading

Once you have the recordings downloaded, you can move them to an external drive or other location until you are ready to reuse them.

Accessibility Requirements

Don't forget that before you can reuse recordings in future/other course sections, they will need to be edited and captioned per accessibility guidelines.
