How to Schedule a Zoom Meeting in Canvas
- On your Canvas course menu, click Zoom.
- Click the Schedule a New Meeting button.
- Type the topic of your meeting.
- Select the date and time.
- Set the duration.
- If this is a recurring meeting, check the Recurring meeting box, and then select the recurrence details and end date.
- Set the security options to use a passcode, a waiting room, or both.
- Set the Video, Audio, and other Meeting Options.
We recommend checking the Record the meeting automatically in the cloud option. - Click the Save button.
- When you go back to your Canvas course menu and click Zoom,
- You will see your scheduled meetings listed on the Upcoming Meetings tab.
Note: Your students will see only the meetings that you schedule inside your Canvas course. If you've already scheduled meetings using the Zoom website or the Zoom desktop application, your students will not see those meetings in their Upcoming Meetings list. However, you can import those meetings into your Canvas course.
