Last Step: Request Your Student Educational Plan from a Counselor

Now that you have learned about the types of courses you should consider taking during your first year at PCC, you are ready to fill out our New Student Counseling Intake Form (linked below). The form will ask you questions related to:

 

  • Your academic history

  • Your educational goals while at PCC

  • Career and professional interests you may have

  • Concerns or questions you may have for a counselor

What should you have ready before starting the intake form:

  1. Your PCC LancerPoint ID Number

  2. Your PCC Email Address

  3. If applicable: An unofficial copy of any outside transcripts and/or Advanced Placement Exam Scores. These can be downloaded as a PDF or a screenshot from your computer, but should include your name and any courses or exams you have taken. 

What happens after you complete the form? 

  1. A counselor will review your responses and develop your educational plan within 7-10 business days.

  2. You will receive an email to your PCC email address when your plan is ready.

  3. Once your plan is ready, you can access it through your "My Educational Plan" button on your LancerPoint under the "My Lancerplan & Program Audit" card.

Students who have not completed the intake form will have not completed the New Student Counseling process and will not have an education plan on file to help them select the courses needed for the next term(s).
